The Octopus


Some facts about Octopus:-

         The octopus has a life span of 1 to 2 years. There are about 300 known species of octopus. The body of an octopus looks like a bag. It also has a bulbous head, large eyes, and eight arms.

Octopus actually have shells similar to clams and snails. ... An octopus has three hearts, nine brains, and blue blood. Two hearts pump blood to the gills, while a third circulates it to the rest of the body. The nervous system includes a central brain and a large ganglion at the base of each arm which controls movement.

One of the most interesting thing about octopus is It can camouflage its environment which is important to escape from its predator.

The cephalopod class of molluscs, particularly the Coleoidea subclass (cuttlefish, squid, octopuses), are thought to be the most intelligent invertebrates and an important example of advanced cognitive evolution in animals.
